Measurements of Undeclared Work

The results of the first European-wide harmonized survey on the topic of undeclared work were announced last week. The survey was launched by DG EMPL and carried out in the second quarter of 2007 (Special Euro-barometer N° 284). This exercise aimed at collecting information on public opinions on undeclared work, the demand and supply side, the reasons for engaging in undeclared work and the socio-economic characteristics of people involved.
